OMG! Manifest Rocked

Well here I am, on the Sunday of Manifest, at home and in normal clothes. I know you're thinking: 'WTF Lex? Why aren't you at the convention?' Well its because last night I had the GREAT idea to go give my demon horns another coat of spray-paint and, while carrying them down the TINY SET OF STAIRS in front of my house I slipped XD and fucking owned my ankle. AGAIN. I really need to stop doing that. So anyway, it hurts like a bitch, and my toes are all cut and bloody, so instead of going out I'm sitting here at home with it propped up on a bunch of pillows and writing this entry.
Its about 3pm now so G-chan should be entering cosplay, if she hasn't already. I hope it goes well for her. She worked SO hard on her Rozalin cosplay and really deserves some attention for it. All my love and luck to you sweet heart <3 DO YOUR BEST AND SHAKE THAT BOOTY!
Despite ankle of fail and lose, I had a really awesome time at Amaranth and at Manifest on the Friday and Saturday. I went as Romeo from Romeo X Juliet to the ball though I left my dagger and jewelry at home because I was worried about them being caught on people who might glomp them. The costume lacked the trim on the collar but we finished that on Friday night so it was fine for Saturday. I danced so much I think I pulled muscles in my butt XDDDD WTF. The venue was much better this year.
Friday was epic fun in Toradora cosplay - specifically I liked going to the maid cafe and eating cake with Floatyman and Yami XD Good times. Good times. Somewhere there is a photo of me as Taiga eating a strawberry, and hating it XD
SO MUCH HAPPENED ON SATURDAY! I went as Romeo again and G-chan and I hosted cosplay. We ended up running late (but as if cosplay doesn't always run late anyway) but I don't think it was a boring event. Our goal was to keep the crowd constantly entertained and, personally, I think we achieved that and then some XD EVEN IF I DID HAVE TO GET MOLESTED BY A PENGUIN TO DO IT. Damn that penguin XD Damn it to hell.
The only downside to our hosting, as I've said, was that we ran late, however much more experienced hosts have told me that it was beyond our control, which was something I appreciated. We ran late because (as no doubt everyone saw) Volunteers kept coming on stage and giving me pieces of paper with cosplayers details WHILE THE COMP WAS GOING. So the list kept getting longer and longer. More than that, I didn't have a proper run sheet because of printer failure, which made it difficult to work with, especially when I got to groups because there was no information about the series they were from, and one sheet had a group title and NO info about the members of the group XD LOL CHAOS FTW. There were also complications with audio and whaever - things like that, we can't help. That's other people screwing up and making our job harder. So, hearing from experienced hosts that we shouldn't sweat it, and that we did a good job, was really comforting, so thanks to you guys.
From what I understand we've been offered the opportunity to regularly host Manifest's cosplay. HOW AWESOME IS THAT?! I'm so on board with that XD Buwahahahahahaha <3 Obviously we weren't crap if we were invited to come back for all future cosplay hosting. SO SUCK MY DICK XDDDD
I've also heard a rumor that some idiot pony is going around and complaining our technical judging was bias. Well, pony, you can rotate on that, because for your information, even if we HAD been bias, technical judging works like this: our top three selections go to the ACTUAL judges as recommendations for the Technical award. The judges can then choose to go with our opinion or decide for themselves. There's absolutely no way for us to have rigged the awards by being technical judges. All we do is give an opinion that goes to three other judges. So you, are nothing but a trouble making idiot, who obviously has NO idea what she's talking about.
Anyway not much else to write about now. I'll probably update again in a couple of days once things have settled down. On the bright side, I now have a cosplay for the next convention that I don't have to do much work on XD Since no one got to see it today. Awww! I might take photos of it next weekend if my foot is any better. I can't wear shoes with the costume so I don't want to have any pics with the brace or bloody toes ruining it XD;;;

Prior Manifest Rambles

Yay. YAY. MANIFEST <3
SO EXCITED X3
Costumes are progressing well although as usual we've changed our minds a hundred times over. Not sure what we'll be hosting in at this stage. I think we're gonna leave it a surprise XDDDD
Friday costumes are done except for buying belts and shoes, which we will do tomorrow. Oh, and I'm waiting on a wig for mine. I ordered one weeks ago but they sent me the wrong colour D< FAIL. So after complaining to them, they said I could keep the wig and they would post out the right colour. For back up, I also ordered another wig from a different seller, so hopefully at least ONE of them will arrive so I can cosplay Taiga properly.
Saturday, as I've said, is a secret at the moment. Ohohohoho <3 We were planning to do a game cosplay for Sunday, and then we decided to do Hellsing, and in typical us style we've had to abandon Hellsing at the last moment because of prop failure XDDDD; So G-chan and I spent all day ratting through fabric and old ideas, and some half finished things, only to decide on something COMPLETELY NEW AND EXPENSIVE XD; Aiyah. But we will be sexy! And, its our first blatant Yuri cosplay o_O Should be interesting and fun <3 If nothing else, look forward to seeing lots of delicious G-chan boobage <3 (How do I know they are delicious? The obvious method >D HAHAHAHAHAHA!)
Our Amaranth cosplays are at 70% finished. All in all, we should be done in the next three days, especially considering we have taken the week off work to sew our butts off before the convention. The plan is to finish everything by Wednesday night and then spend all of Thursday cleaning before people arrive. Hopefully all will go well. That way, we won't need to rush home and sew during the convention, or have late nights in between days. SCORE.
Actually, if we keep progressing at this rate, we will very likely finish Amaranth and Sunday costumes by tomorrow night, which leaves us two entire days and nights to work on the mysterious Saturday cosplays. GO US. WE HAVE TIME MANAGEMENT SKILLZ. AND CUSTARD.
Oh! Fun side note XD I've heard one particular little grease-ball is upset that G-chan and I are hosting on Saturday because HE wanted to do it with all his crap-tacular powers of lose. All I can say to him is: No, we won't step down from hosting, and you can go cry to your mummy about it. Oh wait, you can't - YOU DON'T HAVE ONE.
Fucking hell I love Yami in Yugioh Abridged XD I swear half of my come backs are direct quotes from him now. I can't wait until G-chan cosplays him XDDDD
Anyway not much else to say. I need to get back to the sweat shop, if you know what I mean <3
OH. Belated welcome home to our WCS champs, Catty and Tsubaki <3 You guys put the HOT in HOT BUBBLES <333333333333 FUCK YEAH XD I wish you guys could come to Manifest this year! Damn you HSC!

MOVING ON.
I went to AV CON and had a blast. It was awesome to catch up with my friends, including (but not limited to) Bryan, Misty, Ash, Teagan, that gay Naruto cosplayer who was kind enough to lend me double sided tape, Adem, Mew, Asham, and also the infamous Ino and Shikamaru pair who seem to have been to every other convention IN AUSTRALIA XDDDD Also, I spent some quality time with Siera and...

FUCK. YEAH. That was SO cool, and scary, and awesome <3
I only cosplayed on the sunday even though my costume was ready ahead of time thanks to the EPIC EFFORT of my special G-chan. She actually made... just about all of the costume XDDDD But that's what happens when she goes out of her way to make me feel special. In the end I hand sewed the collar and did a few other small pieces. Definitely the bulk of the credit goes to her for this one. SO MUCH LOVE <33333333333
Speaking of cosplay, I went as Anya from Code Geass. Pics will be uploaded as soon as Floatyman sends them to me XD; It was an alright costume to do and I loved my wig like whoa. Actually the only bad thing I can say about the costume was that, at the end of the day, I had to be cut out of the shirt XDDDD and also, somehow, I ended up spraining my left arm. I'm not entirely sure HOW I did that seeing as I was sure to keep that arm straight all day and never bend it because doing so would upset the tattoo. More strange than that was how I discovered I'd sprained my arm. I was actually scratching my crotch and suddenly shouted out:
"WTF. MY WANKING ARM HURTS."
Then I realized what I'd said and did not repeat it, even when asked. Except for now. Which probably defeats the purpose of having not repeated it XD OH WELL.
I also met a couple of new people which was great! I love meeting new people XD Well, as long as they aren't drama lamas. DO NOT WANT. I also bought stuff at the convention which is something I haven't done in forever XDDD Mostly I bought stuff for G-chan, including a super cute unicorn plushie (though admittedly I bought that at the air port on the way home, not at the actual convention).
Manifest is on the rise now so I'm getting ready for that. G-chan and I are thinking of cosplaying Hellsing on the sunday of the convention. I'm planning to do Seras and she's got her heart set on Schrodinger (I probably spelt that wrong XD LOL) so that should be way cool. I bought fabric for it today as well so we should begin work on them ASAP. For saturday we're still settled on the idea of cosplaying Eternal Sonata, and friday we're doing a couple of things with other people.
And... I can't think of much else to say, other than that my arm still hurts a bit and also I'm feeling pretty tired XD Oh. Someone suggested that I cosplay Dietrich from Trinity Blood, while someone else asked me to be a different guy who had really long black hair (who I can't remember the name of). I haven't seen that anime myself but if anyone out there has, and knows me well, what do you think? XD Would they suit me? Do you think I'd do better as someone else? Let me know <3
